Job summary

Groves High School in Georgia is seeking a Boys Volleyball Junior Varsity Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports the head coach and helps develop a positive, safe, educational, and sportsmanlike program.

You will assist with daily practices, conditioning, preseason workouts, and skill development, coordinate team communication, and work with the athletic department and principal to support student athletes and the school community.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in developing and maintaining a program that is positive, safe, educational, and sportsmanlike
• Support the planning and implementation of daily practices and training sessions
• Assist with preseason workouts, conditioning, and camps as permitted by MHSAA regulations
• Provide instruction and skill development to student athletes.
• Support supervision of student athletes during practices, competitions, and team activities
• Promote positive relationships with student athletes, parents, and community members
• Work cooperatively with the head coach, athletic department, and school administration
• Assist with team communication and program organization as directed by the head coach
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or Principal
