Kalispell Volkswagen is seeking a Certified Volkswagen Technician to join our Service Team in Kalispell, MT. You will diagnose, inspect, and repair guest vehicles, communicate with guests and team leads, and ensure high-quality service for dealership vehicles.

We offer a competitive salary of up to $100,000 per year DOE, full-time schedule, 401(k) with matching, medical/dental/vision insurance, paid education and training, and numerous opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or vocational training OR job-related course work completed.
• Teamwork approach and can-do attitude.
• Own repair tools.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment independently.
• Ability to interpret installation instructions, diagrams and schematics to ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and inspect guest concerns per repair order notes.
• Communicate with guests and team leads to determine nature of mechanical problems.
• Perform repairs and work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with service and parts teams to provide expert service and advice.
• Take initiative to troubleshoot with service/shop teammates and manufacturer.
• Maintain accurate records of all services performed.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest mechanical techniques through training.
• Provide excellent customer service to dealership teammates and guests.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Diagnose and inspect guest concerns per repair order notes
• Communicate with guests and team leads to determine nature of mechanical problems through all means; i.e. inspections, test drives, advisor or customer statements
• Perform any/all needed repairs and work as outlined on repair orders from team leads with efficiency & accuracy
• Collaborate with all service and parts teams to understand needs & provide expert service and advice for guests and dealership vehicles
• Take initiative to work with service/shop teammates and manufacturer to troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the process
• Maintain accurate records of all services performed
• Keep up-to-date with the latest mechanical techniques through ongoing training and professional development
• Provide excellent customer service to dealership teammates and dealership guests
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• High school diploma, GED or vocational training OR job-related course work required completed
• Teamwork approach and can-do attitude
• Your own repair tools
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment independently, working with multiple projects and meeting deadlines
• Ability to interpret installation instructions, diagrams and schematics to ensure accuracy and precision
• Strong technical skills and intense desire to learn
• Any level of Certificationwith Volkswagen of America
• Communication skills and a professional demeanor as there may be times when guests need instruction and information
• Sense of humor and motivation to learn and succeed with a team
