Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) seeks an entry-level VoIP Engineer Level I to support enterprise voice and UC services, including CUCM, CUC, and related telephony tech. The role develops skills in VoIP and IT systems under supervision.

Responsibilities include provisioning, endpoint support, system monitoring, and documentation. On-call rotation and collaboration with network engineers are required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Three years of IT/technical experience in information systems
• Experience with VoIP or telephony systems
• Understanding of IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and QoS

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations of VoIP systems and telephony services.
• Support provisioning and configuration of IP phones and endpoints.
• Monitor VoIP system health using diagnostic tools and logs.
• Maintain security and compliance with RMF, STIGs/PCI as applicable.
• Document configurations and changes; participate in on-call rotation.
