Job summary

Simon & Schuster is seeking a 1st Shift Voice Picker for our distribution center in Riverside, NJ. You will use voice-picking equipment to fulfill book orders and scan labels to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

This full-time role requires the ability to meet daily quotas, stand for up to eight hours, and lift up to 40 pounds. A high school diploma is preferred; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to read and understand shipping labels.
• Ability to understand and follow simple verbal commands.
• Ability to meet daily LM picking quotas.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good listening and basic math skills.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to stand and remain active for up to 8 hours per day.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed, including both voluntary and mandatory overtime.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders using voice-picking equipment.
• Follow simple voice commands to accurately fulfill book orders.
• Meet or exceed the LM SOP picking quota.
• Scan labels using a finger scanner.
• Perform replenishment tasks as needed.
• Work in other areas of the operation as needed.
• Take direction from different leads when working in other areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
