Alignerr is seeking native or near-native German voice actors to record high-quality German audio and evaluate AI-generated speech for naturalness and expressiveness. This fully remote, flexible hourly contract does not require AI background—just a clear voice, a quiet studio, and a passion for quality.

As part of the role, you will review scripts, provide actionable feedback, and help refine AI speech to sound more natural.

Qualifications

• Fluent in German (native or near-native strongly preferred).
• Experienced in voice acting, narration, audiobook recording, dubbing, or similar fields.
• Have a high-quality microphone and a quiet, controlled recording environment.

About The Role

• Record high-quality voice samples in German based on provided scripts and prompts

Who You Are

• Fluent in German - native or near-native speakers strongly preferred
• Experienced in voice acting, narration, audiobook recording, dubbing, or similar fields
• Equipped with a high-quality microphone and a quiet, controlled recording environment
• Able to deliver clear, expressive, and engaging performances across a range of styles and tones
• Detail-oriented when it comes to assessing pronunciation, pacing, and vocal quality
• No prior AI or tech background required

Nice to Have

• Experience with broadcast, commercial, e-learning, or podcast voice work
• Familiarity with audio editing or recording software
• Awareness of regional German pronunciation variations (e.g. Austrian, Swiss German)
• Background in linguistics, drama, communications, or performance
