Job summary

Unitek College Of Nursing seeks a Per Diem Vocational Nursing Instructor to visit clinical sites and deliver instruction across day, evening, and weekend sessions. You will teach both lecture content and clinical rotations while updating syllabi and ensuring compliance with program guidelines.

The role requires a active nursing license, 3 years nursing experience with a bachelor’s, or 6 years with an associate, plus commitment to ongoing CE, records management, and professional development.

Qualifications

• RN or Vocational Nursing license required.
• 3 years nursing experience with a Bachelor's degree OR 6 years nursing experience with an Associate degree required.
• Commitment to improving instructional quality through diverse teaching methods and online activities.

Responsibilities

• Visit clinical sites as part of the teaching team.
• Teach both lecture content and clinical rotations (days, evenings, and weekends).
• Review and revise syllabus as needed within the program guidelines.
• Submit program reports to the Director in a timely manner.
• Maintain current knowledge of technologies and safety regulations.
• Maintain student attendance, grades, and skills check-off records.
• Update student files related to clinical requirements and immunizations.
• Offer courses at various times/locations to meet program needs.
• Participate in professional development activities and college updates.
• Participate in committees as assigned.

• Please note this position would be visiting clinical sites

  • Make continuous efforts to improve quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing different and innovative methodologies / techniques in teaching
  • Demonstrate or willing to acquire skills for utilizing online activities as enhancers to course content/material during interactive teaching and learning
  • Assist with reviewing and revising of syllabus for specific course within the program and instructional guidelines
  • Submit required program reports and forms to Director of the program in a timely manner
  • Keep current with new technologies and safety regulations
  • Maintains student records of attendance, grades, and skills check-off forms and assist with program data collection that meet set due dates and deadlines
  • Assists with updating and maintaining student files as relates to clinical requirements, immunizations and educational requirements
  • Teach courses at a variety of times and locations in responds to program needs
  • Teaches both lecture content and clinical rotations (clinical rotations can be days, and/or evenings, on week days and/or weekends)
  • Participate in professional development; maintain CE hours to ensure renewed licensure, takes responsibility for staying current with college updates
  • Actively participates in committees as assigned, based on availability, taking into consideration teaching responsibilities as priority

Qualifications

• Vocational Nursing License or RN License
• A minimum of 3 years Nursing experience with a Bachelors Degree OR a minimum of 6 years Nursing experience with an Associates Degree.

Pay: $47 - $55.00 per hour with a 10% differential for evenings/weekends!
