Job summary

Unitek College Of Nursing is seeking a full-time Vocational Nursing Instructor who will visit clinical sites and deliver both lecture and clinical rotations. The role includes updating syllabi, maintaining student records, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

The ideal candidate has a Vocational Nursing or RN license and at least 3 years of nursing with a Bachelor's degree (or 6 years with an Associate degree).

Qualifications

• RN or Vocational Nursing license is required
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience with a Bachelor's degree OR 6 years with an Associate degree
• Demonstrated instructional skills and the ability to review and revise syllabi
• Willingness to visit clinical sites and stay current with nursing education standards

Responsibilities

• Teach courses and clinical rotations (days/evenings, weekdays/weekends)
• Utilize innovative teaching methodologies and online activities
• Assist with syllabus review and revision for program courses
• Submit program reports to the Director in a timely manner
• Maintain student attendance, grades, and records
• Update and manage student files related to clinical requirements and immunizations
• Participate in professional development and CE hours
• Engage in committees as assigned

  • Make continuous efforts to improve quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing different and innovative methodologies / techniques in teaching
  
  
  • Demonstrate or willing to acquire skills for utilizing online activities as enhancers to course content/material during interactive teaching and learning
  
  
  • Assist with reviewing and revising of syllabus for specific course within the program and instructional guidelines
  
  
  • Submit required program reports and forms to Director of the program in a timely manner
  
  
  • Keep current with new technologies and safety regulations
  
  
  • Maintains student records of attendance, grades, and skills check-off forms and assist with program data collection that meet set due dates and deadlines
  
  
  • Assists with updating and maintaining student files as relates to clinical requirements, immunizations and educational requirements
  
  
  • Teach courses at a variety of times and locations in responds to program needs
  
  
  • Teaches both lecture content and clinical rotations (clinical rotations can be days, and/or evenings, on week days and/or weekends)
  
  
  • Participate in professional development; maintain CE hours to ensure renewed licensure, takes responsibility for staying current with college updates

Pay range: $95-$114,000/annually

Qualifications:
