Job summary

The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department is seeking a role focused on helping eligible individuals with disabilities achieve and maintain competitive employment. You will coordinate services, provide vocational counseling, and support direct placement while building community referrals.

You will conduct assessments and career exploration to develop an individualized plan for employment (IPE) and manage caseloads weekly, contributing to meaningful, structured outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology or Mental Health or a relevant field.
• Experience or ability to communicate effectively with consumers, vendors and coworkers.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define problems and draw conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist eligible South Carolinians to achieve and maintain competitive employment.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Mental Health or Bachelor’s Degree in any other field with professional experience in human services, social services or related field is preferred.
• Should be able to communicate effectively to establish and maintain effective working relationships with consumers, vendors, employers, and coworkers.
• Must be able to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
