Orono Public Schools’ Orono High School Theatre seeks a Vocal Director for the fall musical Cinderella. Rehearsals run 3pm–6pm on weekdays in September and October, with possible flexibility on specific dates, and dress rehearsals in November.

The ideal candidate will lead vocal rehearsals, guide students in learning the vocal music, and teach vocal technique both in group and one-on-one settings. Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check are required to work in schools

• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to pass a background check for working in schools.

Responsibilities

• Lead vocal rehearsals and collaborate with the Director to execute the artistic vision for the production
• Guide students through learning the vocal music for the show
• Teach and reinforce vocal technique with students as a whole and one on one
• Review learned material with students to reinforce and polish their performance
