Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking an Assistant Program Director for the VN Program. This role supports the Campus Program Director in planning, development, and evaluation of the nursing program, coordinating clinical rotations, and maintaining student records.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in nursing, education, or administration.
• 3+ years leading a nursing program.
• 3+ years as full‑time faculty in pre- or post‑licensure nursing.
• 1+ year teaching in an online teaching/learning environment.
• 4+ years of continuous RN direct patient care in geriatrics, med-surg, psych, obstetrics or pediatrics (past 5 years).
• Active California BRN license.
• Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Action oriented, innovative thinking, and flexible.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with planning, development, management, updating and evaluation of the program.
• Prepare data and written materials for state, Board requirements, reports, proposals, self‑studies, surveys, and site visits.
• Identify and obtain outside resources for the nursing program.
• Assess agency ability to provide clinical experience meeting objectives.
• Ensure Facility Apps are completed and approved before clinical rotations.
