Job summary

The role requires strong hands-on experience with vCenter, ESXi, VCF, CBT, VM hardware, snapshots, and data-transfer mechanisms. You will coordinate with VMware and OpenShift teams to ensure smooth migrations and proper documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience with VMware vCenter and ESXi environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
- Familiarity with VDDK, CBT, snapshots, and data-transfer mechanisms.
Responsibilities
- Validate vCenter and ESXi access, certificates, privileges, and connectivity.
- Assess VMware source environments for migration readiness.
- Validate VDDK and CBT readiness and VM hardware compatibility.
- Review snapshots, VM configuration, and data-transfer prerequisites.
- Troubleshoot provider discovery and migration data-transfer issues.
- Identify and resolve blockers affecting MTV migrations.
- Coordinate with VMware and OpenShift teams during migration execution.
- Support cutover, rollback, post-migration validation, and handoff.
- Document compatibility issues, dependencies, and remediation activities.
- Participate in source-platform decommissioning and migration closure.
