Job summary

MetroSys, Inc. seeks an experienced VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Deployment Architect for a short-term enterprise modernization engagement. You will assess, design, and deploy VCF across the customer environment, coordinating with NSX and other infra consultants to meet tight timelines.

The role requires hands-on expertise with vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and storage integration, plus strong scripting for automation and customer-facing communication.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise VMware virtualization and infrastructure engineering.
• 3+ years in senior-level VMware architecture or consulting.
• Hands-on with VMware Cloud Foundation and lifecycle management.
• Expert knowledge of vSphere/ESXi/vCenter, HA, DRS.
• Experience in complex enterprise deployments.
• Storage technologies: SAN/NAS/vSAN, storage networking.
• Upgrades, migrations, health checks, troubleshooting.
• PowerShell/PowerCLI scripting for automation.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and deployments.
• Strong documentation and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work remotely with Pacific Time teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, deployment, and configuration of VCF infrastructure.
• Assess existing VMware environments and identify requirements and dependencies.
• Design and deploy VCF management and workload domains with vSphere components.
• Perform health assessments, troubleshooting, and remediation of VMware issues.
• Configure HA, DRS, resource allocation, and storage integration.
• Support VCF lifecycle management: installation, upgrades, patching.
• Collaborate with NSX Architect to ensure correct networking integration.
• Assist with operations management, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Support automation using PowerCLI/PowerShell or similar tools.
• Develop detailed designs, runbooks, and implementation procedures.
• Provide guidance to customer teams and enable knowledge transfer.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to meet aggressive timelines.
