Job summary

HCLTech in Orlando seeks a skilled Windows Server and virtualization specialist to lead infrastructure management and ensure high availability. You will own patching, security hardening, and lifecycle management across Windows Server and VMware stacks while partnering with client teams onsite.

With hands-on L3 experience, you will drive automation, IaC initiatives, migrations (P2V/V2V/on-prem to cloud), and incident resolution.

Qualifications

• HHands-on L3 experience with Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022).
• Proven ability to manage VMware ESXi/vCenter, clustering, HA/DRS, and storage optimization.
• Experience with patch management, security hardening, and ITIL governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration and support of Windows Server environments.
• Manage VMware vSphere components, clustering, HA and storage tuning.
• Own enterprise patching lifecycle for Windows and VMware.
• Perform security hardening and vulnerability management.
• Oversee VMware upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Lead migration projects (P2V, V2V, on-prem to cloud).
• Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives.
• Monitor performance, conduct RCAs, and ensure SLA/MTTR targets.
• Document governance and ITIL processes; ensure audit readiness.

Job description

1. Windows Server Infrastructure Management

• Lead administration and support of Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022)
• Ensure high availability and performance tuning of Windows environments
• Manage and support VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter
• Perform cluster management, HA, DRS, and storage optimization
• Lead VM provisioning, decommissioning, and lifecycle management
• Troubleshoot performance issues at hypervisor, VM, and storage levels

3. Patch Management & Compliance

• Own enterprise patching lifecycle for Windows OS and VMware stack
• Ensure monthly patch cycles, emergency patching, and rollback plans

4. Vulnerability Management & Security Hardening

5. Upgrades & Lifecycle Management

• VMware upgrades (ESXi, vCenter, tools, hardware versions)

6. Migration & Transformation Projects

• Lead infrastructure migrations such as:
• Physical to Virtual (P2V)
• Virtual to Virtual (V2V)
• On-prem to Cloud (Azure/AWS/Hybrid)

7. Automation & Infrastructure as Code

• Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and errors

8. Monitoring, Performance & Incident Management

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, MTTR targets, and uptime goals
• Participate in on-call and escalations as L3 support

9. Documentation & Governance

• Ensure compliance with:
• ITIL processes
• Audit and regulatory requirements

• Share relevant profiles with hands-on L3 experience in the above technologies
• Candidates should be comfortable with client-facing roles and onsite engagement
• Preference for immediate joiners or short notice period

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to HCL policies.
