Job summary

Champions Oncology, Inc. in Rockville, MD is seeking an entry-level Husbandry Technician I to support in vivo oncology research in mice within the Vivarium Operations team.

You will perform daily cage checks, monitor animal health, assist with sanitation, and maintain room logs and lab systems while following study protocols. Weekend work may be required on a rotating basis. GED required; ALAT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• AALAS ALAT certification preferred.
• 1 year of related experience in a biotech/research setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cage checks and weekly cage changes.
• Monitor animal health and report concerns.
• Sanitize equipment, rooms, and facilities.
• Transport materials, supplies, and waste.
• Assist with surgical staple removal and study randomization.
• Record data in room logs and LIMS.
• Read, follow, and adhere to study protocols.
• Organize supplies and maintain laboratory setup.
• Work weekends/holidays on a rotating basis.
