Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Vivarium Specialist for the Ragon Institute at Cambridge. The role focuses on sanitation and sterilization of animal caging systems to support a high-level animal research program.

Under supervision, you will perform cage wash duties, maintain records, and adhere to SOPs and biosafety guidelines in a cutting-edge facility. Onsite work with animals is required, with 40-hour weeks and a day shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Previous experience with animals (0–1 year preferred).
• Must have good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Implement sterile techniques using barrier cage systems.
• Track animal health and notify supervisors and staff of observations.
• Maintain records such as animal inventory, Husbandry, and Room Maintenance.
• Report facility and environmental issues to the supervisor.
• Attend staff and educational meetings as scheduled.
