AVP•SEES Group in Chattanooga, Tennessee, seeks a fellowship‑trained vitreoretinal surgeon to join a well‑established ophthalmology practice. The role offers opportunities to inherit existing patient demand within a referral‑driven network and to build a full retina practice across multiple offices and ASC access.

The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive medical and surgical care for retinal diseases, collaborate with optometrists and physicians, and contribute to patient‑centered outcomes

Qualifications

• Hold an MD or DO degree and board eligibility in ophthalmology.
• Completed ophthalmology residency; fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery.
• Board-certified or eligible; Tennessee licensure eligibility.
• Demonstrate excellent medical and surgical judgment.
• Effective communication with patients and colleagues.
• Value collaboration with optometrists and shared-care partners.
• Commitment to long-term practice growth and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage medical and surgical retinal disease.
• Perform intravitreal injections and retinal laser procedures.
• Coordinate with referring providers and share care.
• Participate in quality-improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
• Manage postoperative and shared care with referring providers.
• Adopt advancing diagnostic and surgical technologies.
