Sprouts Farmers Market in Lawndale, CA is seeking a Vitamin Manager to lead our vitamin, supplement, and health product department. You will coach team members, manage inventory, and drive sales while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires hands-on leadership, scheduling, performance reviews, and collaboration with the Store Manager and Buyer to optimize product assortment and promotions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service by providing prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable information and guidance on our large selection of supplements and related products.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and other health and beauty items in the department to guide customers.
• Order products and manage inventory control.
• Oversee sales and promotional events.
• Achieve required sales, margin, expense and labor goals through proper product assortment, merchandising, and inventory control to avoid out‑of‑stocks and over‑stocks.
• Work with the Buyer and Store Manager to determine inventory based on frequent evaluation of sales reports and current market trends.
• Engage and evaluate team members through coaching, feedback, and one‑on‑one development discussions; recommend merit increases via the bi‑annual performance review process.
• Attend and participate in in‑store meetings regularly.
• Recruit, hire, and make promotion/transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Exercise independent judgment to address Team Member concerns.
• Take and document corrective actions when needed, including collaboration with business and HR partners in managing performance (coaching, counseling, progressive discipline, suspension, or termination).
• Ensure maximum productivity and efficiency by creating and adjusting schedules and staffing levels.
• Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members.
• Lead a team that collaborates to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience for customers.
• Serve as a Key Carrier for the store and/or act as a Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age and a minimum of 1 year of vitamin, homeopathy, or holistic experience with leadership experience.
• Good communication skills and the ability to give and take direction.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and dust.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations.
• Willing to gain education on new products and alternative health.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb throughout the entire work day and lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects up to 50 lbs. from 4” to 72” for a distance up to 2 feet without mechanical assistance.
• Ability to move a ladder to access product requiring a force up to 5 lbs. for up to 2 hours, up to 25 feet.
• Ability to maneuver a utility cart holding 20 lbs. requiring a force up to 35 lbs. for up to 2 hours, a distance up to 20 feet.
• Ability to maneuver a six‑wheel cart requiring a force up to 35 lbs. for up to 2 hours, a distance up to 20 feet.
• Ability to walk a total up to 5 miles in an 8‑hour shift.
• Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit.
• Flexible to work a schedule that changes as the business changes, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude toward Team Members and customers.

Pay range

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $34.40 / hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.
