The Vitamin/Body Care Assistant is responsible for assisting the Vitamin and Body Care Managers in the successful operation and profitability of the vitamin and body care departments.

Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing excellent customer service and a positive customer experience daily.
- Maintaining integrity, responsibility, and adherence to all policies.
- Creating inviting, well-stocked departments.
- Assisting in ordering and maintaining inventory levels for vitamin and body care products.
- Supporting department managers in managing margins, driving sales, and overall profitability.
- Ensuring products meet company standards and managing special orders.
- Merchandising shelves, endcaps, and displays.
- Participating in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock management.
- Assisting in training staff and monitoring performance.
- Conducting demos and supporting store opening and closing activities.
- Handling register functions, customer returns, complaints, and shift changes.
- Maintaining safety and security of customers and staff.
- Responding to customer questions using company policies and nutritional support statements.
- Increasing product knowledge and utilizing company software tools.
- Working a schedule based on store needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a 40-hour workweek and attending meetings.
- This position has limited managerial duties but is not the overall Manager on Duty.
All employees are expected to perform any tasks necessary to support the company's success.
Qualifications
Recipe for Success:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in grocery or retail environments preferred; natural foods background is a plus.
- Experience supervising others preferred.
- Experience in vitamins/supplements preferred.
- Ability to pass food safety training and maintain certifications.
- Ability to manage priorities, stay focused, and demonstrate urgency.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directions and perform cashier duties.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
