Job summary

Tyler Pipe and Coupling in Tyler, TX is seeking a General Accountant to join our finance team. You will perform daily sales and production reporting, tax filings, accruals for rebates and commissions, and bank reconciliations, while maintaining accounting records and assisting with accounts payable.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting (or near completion) and strong Excel skills; familiarity with Access databases and BI reporting is a plus.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or near completion will be considered.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Access Database and BI reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily Sales and Production Reporting and analysis for management.
• Prepare and file state Sales & Use Tax returns timely.
• Track rebate and commission accruals and reporting.
• Record Bank reconciliations and general journal postings.
• Manage petty cash and assist Accounts Payable as needed.
