Qualifications

• Read, analyze and interpret professional journals, board policy and procedures.
• Identify needs and abilities of individual students and adapt instructional methods accordingly.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate specialized instruction reflective of the student’s IEP.
• Consult with staff, parents and students to coordinate programs for visually impaired students.
• Plan and deliver lessons and adapt core curriculum into accessible formats (braille, large print).
• Train staff and parents on assistive devices and software.
