Job summary

Broken Arrow Public Schools seeks a Visual Media Specialist to lead district photography and video storytelling, capturing students, staff and events. You will produce images and video for publications, websites and social media, coordinating shoots across schools and ensuring brand standards.

The role requires flexible scheduling for after-hours events, strong editing skills in Lightroom/Photoshop/ Premiere, and the ability to manage archives and live productions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional photography/videography experience with portfolio.
• Proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless systems, lighting, audio and editing software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as district's primary photographer for action, event, portrait and marketing photography.
• Plan and execute professional portrait and promotional shoots, including lighting and post-production.
• Provide visual coverage of district schools, athletics, arts and events beyond regular hours.
• Produce professional video stories and content for internal/external audiences.
• Edit photography and video to meet quality, accessibility and brand standards.
• Collaborate with Communications to develop visual storytelling for campaigns and recruitment.
• Coordinate production schedules across multiple schools and departments.
• Maintain organized archive with metadata and storage practices.
• Maintain equipment and stay current with photography/videography techniques.
• Support live event and multi-camera productions as assigned.
