Job summary

The Jefferson City School District Communications Department is seeking a dynamic photographer/videographer to join its team. This role will document athletic events, concerts, after-school programs, and weekend events, building a diverse portfolio while promoting the district through compelling storytelling.

Ideal candidates will work independently and with the team, meet deadlines, and have access to camera gear and editing software.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of operating still and/or video cameras and editing media.
• Proficiency with DSLR cameras; smartphones acceptable for video; no point-and-shoot focus.
• Familiarity with photo and video editing software.
• Must have access to photography/video equipment and a computer for editing.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality photos and videos at school events, games, and weekend activities.
• Edit and process images and footage to meet deadlines and district standards.
• Collaborate with the communications department to schedule events and promote the district via social media.
• Maintain and manage personal photography/videography equipment.
