Job summary

Belk is seeking a Merchandising Team Lead to drive sales and create appealing, well-merchandised product presentations. The role oversees team placement, floor sets, signage, price changes, and adherence to visual merchandising standards, collaborating with omni, operations, and selling teams to achieve store objectives.

The position is hourly, with monthly bonus eligibility, and requires leadership, organizational, and customer service skills to ensure exceptional store performance and customer

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in Visual Merchandising or Retail Management.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs and work around all store areas.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and initiative in achieving store objectives and key metrics.
• Lead team in executing product presentations, ensure placement aligns with directives and brand standards.
• Assist with receiving and processing inbound deliveries to support product readiness.
• Guide team in executing sale sets and price changes with accurate signage and daily promo updates.
• Maintain back-of-house organization and equipment to promote efficiency.
• Communicate daily goals and key tasks to the team.
• Participate in weekly leadership workload planning meetings to schedule tasks and labor hours.
• Adapt to changing circumstances, adjust tactics based on forecasts and business needs.
• Support onboarding, training, and ongoing learning for associates.
• Foster a positive store culture and recognize associate achievements.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist with stock replenishment and store recovery during peak periods.
• Lead store fulfillment, asset protection initiatives, and omni/operations processes.
