Job summary

Jordan's Furniture is seeking a visionary In-Store Design Director to shape the visual experience across all locations. You will lead a team of designers, partner with merchandising, marketing, and operations, and ensure floor sets and seasonal launches are executed with excellence.

This fast-paced role requires a strong background in visual merchandising leadership, a bachelor's degree, travel between stores, and a passion for driving customer experience through design.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising or related field.
  • 5+ years of leadership in visual merchandising.
  • Ability to travel between locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of visual merchandising strategies and brand presentation standards across all retail locations.
  • Coach, develop, and inspire a team of In-Store Designers to deliver exceptional visual execution and customer experiences.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Marketing teams to implement floor sets, seasonal transitions, promotional campaigns, and new product launches.
  • Conduct store visits, merchandising audits, and visual assessments to ensure consistency and adherence to company standards.
  • Collaborate with Store Managers, Regional Directors, and Sales Leadership to drive accountability and visual excellence.
  • Develop rollout plans, timelines, and execution strategies for major visual initiatives and merchandising projects.
  • Serve as the liaison between Home Office teams and stores, ensuring communication is clear, timely, and actionable.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, simplify execution, and enhance operational efficiency throughout the organization.
  • Provide field feedback related to merchandising strategies, customer shopping behaviors, store presentation, and execution opportunities.
  • Support change management initiatives and help stores successfully navigate merchandising and visual transformations.

Here's What Skills We Need You to Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising, Retail Management, Marketing, Design, or a related field preferred.
  • 5 plus years of visual merchandising leadership experience in a multi-unit retail environment.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing creative or field-based teams.
  • Strong understanding of merchandising principles, space planning, customer flow, and retail presentation standards.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on execution, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to travel regularly between retail locations.

Pay Range: $100,000to $125,000 annually plus up to a 12% target bonus
