Responsibilities

• Assists with coordination and execution of daily showroom display activities.

• Assist with weekly inbound/outbound product transfers to/from showroom.
• Ensure showroom is safe; aisles clear of hazards.
• Provide effective strategic solutions for store displays.
• Proactive solutions for disruptions; replace pictures/accessories promptly.
• Identify priority areas that must look outstanding (front entrance, focal points).
• Be flexible and address disruptions quickly with quality solutions.
• Support Visual Display Manager and department staff through clear communication.
• Lead area personnel with objective setting and delegation.
• Maintain communication with Company personnel and management.

The FT Visual Merchandising Assistant assumes responsibility for executing all display requirements presented by the Visual Merchandising Manager, including all lifestyle presentations and settings are properly paired and placed based on the provided floor plan guideline as well as the current slot plan. All displays are accessorized appropriately and in a timely manner. Weekly assistance of incoming merchandise including releasing needed merchandise for the showroom. Be fast and effective in transitioning outbound merchandise to incoming merchandise ensuring that the showroom is always appropriately displayed and meets company standard. Creates and fosters positive relationships. Ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner.

Physical Strength Moderate to Heavy Work; Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 lbs. frequently, and/or 15 lbs. regularly. Able to climb ladder, walk and stand for 8 hour day.

Essential Functions And Basic Duties

• Assumes responsibility for assisting with the coordination and execution of the daily activities of the visual presentation of the showroom.
• Assist with floor moves and execute on schedule.
• Monitors progress on projects to ensure that established parameters are followed.
• Responsible for working with the warehouse staff and ensuring that all furniture is appropriately assembled, shelving is installed when required, and all furniture is leveled at the time of setup.
• Assist with managing the weekly transfer of outbound/inbound product to and from the showroom.
• Ensure that the showroom is safe for coworkers and customers, aisles and pathways are clear of tripping hazards to the best of your ability.
• Assumes responsibility for providing effective strategic solutions for store displays.
• Proactive solutions for daily unexpected display disruptions. Replacing pictures and accessories in a timely manner. Fake out areas as necessary when items are sold off or removed from the showroom floor.
• Recognize and be aware of priority areas that must always look outstanding, front entrance, major focal points, and galleries/boutiques.
• Be flexible and willing to address unexpected disruptions, react quickly with quality solutions.
• Effectively Assist Visual Display Manager and Department personnel, ensuring optimal performance.
• Provides leadership to area personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication.
• Reviews and follow up are on time.
• Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Company personnel and management.

• Assists Company personnel as needed.
• Keeps management well informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
• Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
• Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
• Completes special projects as assigned.
• Attends and participates in meetings as required.
