What a day in the role looks like:
- Communicating and collaborating often with the Store Director and Buyer, along with the visual manager, to strategize, to facilitate the movement of new merchandise, and the management team for high-level direction.
- Switching projects frequently based on the needs of the business, deliveries, or changes in creative direction or schedule.
- Using a working knowledge of interior design, furniture trends, staging, antiques & vintage, and/or fine art to execute vignettes, display windows, and specialized areas in the store.
- Using time wisely between projects and deliveries and remaining flexible as it pertains to daily/weekly workflows and team support needs.
Skills & Experience needed:
- At least 2 years of visual merchandising experience in either design, furniture sales, fashion, home staging, or a related field.
- Self-starter; able to take direction but also make quick decisions at a moment's notice.
- Have both the ability to adapt to a flexible day-to-day workflow and reprioritize the day and multitask as needed.
- Must be able to lift, push, and manage up to 50lbs+ regularly (skids, dollies, heavy furniture, and team assistance available).
- Must be a great communicator, team-centered, and highly collaborative.
Part of the interview process may include setting up an in-store visual presentation.

Responsibilities:
- Act and lead through our core values of humility, empathy, authenticity, relationships, and tenacity (HEART).
- Execute all weekly and monthly merchandising directives in partnership with store leadership and Regional Merchandise Manager/Director.
- Implement visual strategies to drive top-line sales, create brand consistency, and improve the overall customer experience.
- Works with the leadership team to ensure visual standards are being upheld throughout the day/week, and is a team responsibility.
- Reacts to sell through and replenishes the styling floor, focusing on outfitting and floorset integrity.
- Partners with the Inventory Specialist to execute markdowns, re-merchandise the styling floor, and address the sale section (expanding/condensing) as necessary.
Requirements:
- Clear and motivating communication style with strong presentation skills.
- Collaborative and able to use creative problem-solving skills to arrive at a solution that is in the best interest of the brand and the customer experience.
- Detail-oriented while still maintaining excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently in stores/self-motivated.
- Possess a level of creativity balanced with logic, organizational, and operational skills.
- Visual merchandising retail experience, specifically in women’s clothing.
- Must be able to climb a ladder as needed.
