Job summary

Bruegge and Co. seeks a Visual Merchandiser to support showroom design across two Illinois locations (East Peoria and Peru) with travel as needed.

You will transform showrooms, style displays, and create inviting spaces aligned with current trends. You’ll gain hands-on experience in visual merchandising, space planning, and design styling while collaborating with store teams to elevate customer experiences.

Who We're Looking For

• Have a valid driver's license and can travel between store locations
• Are comfortable using Excel and basic computer programs
• Enjoy active, hands-on work, including moving and arranging furniture

Create Beautiful Design Moments

You’ll transform our showrooms into inspiring spaces by:

• Styling furniture, artwork, rugs, lighting, and décor accessories
• Creating inviting room settings that reflect current design trends
• Refreshing displays to keep showrooms looking fresh and inspiring
• Helping customers visualize how furniture can work in their own homes

Bring Today's Trends to Life

You’ll gain hands-on experience implementing popular looks such as:

• Modern Organic designs featuring natural wood tones and earthy textures
• Cozy Contemporary spaces with warm neutrals and layered accessories
• Transitional styles that blend classic and modern elements
• Statement accent pieces and curated décor collections
• Seasonal trend updates that keep displays fresh and relevant

Collaborate with an Amazing Team

One of the best parts of this role is that you won’t be designing alone.

You’ll work closely with:

• Fellow Visual Merchandisers to execute creative showroom transformations
• Store Managers to align displays with sales goals
• Sales Teams to understand customer preferences and emerging trends
• Warehouse Teams to coordinate product movement and floor resets

Keep Showrooms Looking Their Best

You’ll also:

• Process and place incoming furniture and décor
• Maintain organized, fully stocked displays
• Use merchandising tools, inventory systems, and Excel reporting
• Travel between locations to support merchandising initiatives
