So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed?

• Implements and maintains an effective Visual Merchandising Program which includes merchandise presentation, planogramming, display, and signing for all assigned retail and services facilities.
• Supervises, coordinates, directs, and trains personnel in the Visual Merchandising Department; instructs and trains sales and stock personnel in visual merchandising procedures and techniques.
• Assures correctness of fixture layouts and installation, merchandise correlation, space allocation, planogram implementation, and monitoring for optimum efficiency and sales volume.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Qualifiers:

• GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience gained in administrative, technical, or other responsible work enabling an understanding of visual merchandising techniques and methods, and skill in attractive display merchandise presentation and in-store signing.
• SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Two years of progressively responsible experience providing knowledge of visual merchandising techniques, display and presentation of merchandise, signing, maintaining equipment and materials, layout and installation of fixtures, and technical assistance or similar work demonstrating the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.

Total of five years of experience as follows:

• GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience in responsible work related to visual merchandising techniques and methods, including attractive display and signing.
• OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: One year of academic study above high school level may substitute 9 months of experience, up to a maximum of 4 years of a bachelor’s degree for 3 years of general experience.
• AND
• SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Two years of responsible experience demonstrating knowledge of visual merchandising, display, and installation of fixtures, and technical assistance.
