So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed?

- Implements and maintains an effective Visual Merchandising Program which includes merchandise presentation, planogramming, display and signing for all assigned retail and services facilities.

- Supervises, coordinates, directs and trains personnel in the Visual Merchandising Department; instructs and trains sales and stock personnel in visual merchandising procedures and techniques.

- Assures correctness of fixture layouts and installation, merchandise correlation, space allocation, planogram implementation and monitoring for optimum efficiency and sales volume.

- Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Qualifiers:

· GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience which was gained in administrative technical or other responsible work which enabled the applicant to gain a understanding of visual merchandising techniques and methods and skill in the area of attractive display merchandise presentation and in-store signing.

· SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Two years of progressively responsible experience which provided a knowledge of visual merchandising techniques and practices display and presentation of merchandise and signing maintaining equipment and materials layout and installation of fixtures and providing technical assistance or similar work which demonstrated the knowledge skills and abilities of visual merchandising display and in-store signing.

· Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.

Total of five years of experience as follows

GENERAL EXPERIENCE Three years of experience which was gained in administrative technical or other responsible work which enabled the applicant to gain a understanding of visual merchandising techniques and methods and skill in the area of attractive display merchandise presentation and in-store signing.

OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE 1 year of related academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelor s degree for 3 years of general experience

AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE Two years of progressively responsible experience which provided a knowledge of visual merchandising techniques and practices display and presentation of merchandise and signing maintaining equipment and materials layout and installation of fixtures and providing technical assistance or similar work which demonstrated the knowledge skills and abilities of visual merchandising display and in-store signing.
