Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Visual Merchandise Coordinator to drive design center installations for new stores, refreshes, remodels and special projects. You’ll coordinate with the NSVM Design team, store managers and installers to meet time and budget goals.
You will manage project tracking, communicate status, schedule installers, and handle materials shipments while solving issues quickly in a fast-paced retail environment.
The Visual Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day project workflow within the NSVM Design Team scope of work for new stores, existing store refreshes, existing store remodels, and other related special projects. Typical duties include project planning and executing approved NSVM Design projects within the defined workflow. Collaborates with NSVM Design team to verify specifications, internal store management teams, and external suppliers and installers to ensure completion meets time and budget expectations. You’ll Be Successful With Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education) Two years of relevant experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company Prior experience working in a retail environment and department merchandising strongly preferred Proven problem-solving and team building skills Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite Must be detail-oriented and highly organized Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
Responsible for Design Center installation activities for new stores, existing store refreshes, existing store remodels, and special projects, ensuring on-site installers complete projects to Design Catalog specs and Floor & Decor installation standards. Responsible for communicating project status to local store teams at defined timing, as well as leadership teams as needed. Manage installer schedules within the NSVM Design team to ensure coverage and timing aligns with installer resources and the annual installation schedule. Ensure project dates and milestones are recorded and tracked on the Project Tracker tool. Daily problem solving with local store teams, installers, and other key contacts to prevent timeline and budget disruptions. Work with local store team to verify project completion before releasing the installer to move on to the next project.
Ensure project spend is recorded and tracked on the Project Tracker tool. Alert Project Manager of projects trending over/under budget to ensure visibility.
Execute timelines to complete Design Center projects and communicate status to the Project Manager. Order and track all materials shipping to the store locations for each project, including internal inventory transfers and external purchases. Follow up with relevant contacts to problem‑solve missing or late shipments prior to install. Manage supplier scorecards to ensure accurate bi‑annual review.
Occasional travel required including air and car travel (0-15% travel) While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.
Medium Work – Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.
