Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Visual Investigations Producer to craft groundbreaking video journalism. You will perform deep OSINT research, verify sources, and turn findings into compelling visuals for digital and TV platforms.

The role demands at least 5 years in news production, a BA/BS in journalism or related field, sharp editorial judgment, and the ability to lead field shoots, interviews, and motion graphics while upholding CNN’s standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of production experience in the news television industry or digital video journalism.
• BA/BS in journalism, politics or a related field preferred or equivalent in experience.
• Must have strong news judgment as well as strong written, verbal, interpersonal communication, research, and production skills.

Responsibilities

• Create compelling video journalism for digital and linear platforms.
• Conduct deep-dive open-source research and verification, leveraging advanced digital forensic tools and methodologies.
• Proficiency in OSINT methods and tools including video verification, AI detection, geolocation, chronolocation, social media scraping, and metadata analysis.
• Proficient in analyzing satellite imagery, as well as marine and flight tracking, etc.
• Skilled at conceiving and overseeing production of motion graphics and animations including 3D animation when necessary.
• Develop and execute digital video investigations from start to finish including pre- and post-production.
• Assist in or write text stories for publishing on CNN’s digital platforms
• Produce live segments, both in the field or in the studio or from remote network locations as needed
• Knowledge of photojournalism/cameras, editing and animations software a plus
• Uphold and advance CNN’s journalistic standards, ethics, and commitment to impactful storytelling.
