Job summary
FUJIFILM Biotechnologies in North Carolina is seeking a Process Engineer 2 to support DPFG in the Visual Inspection area. You will provide engineering guidance for capital projects, tech transfer, and manufacturing operations to improve efficiency and reliability.
The role leverages experience with automated inspection systems and camera/vision-based technologies, collaborating with Quality, Manufacturing, and Automation teams to meet CGMP requirements and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biotechnology Engineering with 2 years of engineering experience or
- Master’s degree in Chemical or Biotechnology Engineering with no prior experience
- Experience in a Life Science or other regulated industry
- Experience with engineering drawings and using Quality Systems (deviation management, change control, CAPA, document management)
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering guidance for capital projects, tech transfer and manufacturing operations.
- Review P&IDs and process design documents with limited supervision.
- Support FAT, CQV, and start‑up activities.
- Provide on‑floor manufacturing support for equipment issues.
- Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Process Science, Maintenance and Automation teams.
