Apple Inc. is seeking a senior engineer to advance the Visual Generation Framework across mobile and desktop platforms. You will translate research into production frameworks, design interoperable architecture, and fix performance bottlenecks while collaborating with product teams.

The role focuses on taking breakthrough algorithms from labs into millions of daily users, including framework implementation, benchmarking, and prototyping. A passion for quality code is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering; similarly related fields, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of impactful experience in general software engineering across multiple platforms and languages.
• Proven experience in Swift, and/or C/C++, Objective-C.

Visual Generation Framework Software Engineer - Proactive

The Visual Generation Framework team is seeking a senior engineer in ML software engineering. The primary responsibilities associated with this position include integration of research into production frameworks, defining the architecture and interoperability of frameworks in the system, root cause analysis and repair of performance bottlenecks, and collaborating closely with product teams before and after feature launch.

In this role, you will help take breakthrough algorithms out of the labs, and put them into products used by millions of people every day. This ranges from framework implementation, to benchmarking, prototyping, and integrating our technology into the next generation of products for both mobile and the desktop applications. We’re looking for a flexible engineer who enjoys using their skills to exceed in a wide variety of tasks. Excellent problem solving skills are of paramount importance, as is a passion for writing quality code. You will be required to have a proven track record of dedication contributing as part of general software engineering teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering; similarly related fields, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of impactful experience in general software engineering, preferably across multiple platforms and languages for a variety of different solutions.
• Proven experience in Swift, and/or C/C++, Objective-C.
• Proven track record to design and implement solutions using modern architectural concepts and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability in image generation, computer vision, Machine Learning or a related field (computer graphics, image processing, multimedia, etc).
• Familiarity with software configuration management processes such as unit tests, code reviews and working with continuous integration.
• Knowledge of concurrency and its use in application, and/or framework development.
• Experience with macOS and/or iOS development, and familiarity with UNIX-based systems.
• Experience with shipping products is desirable

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
