Job Summary

This role will be instrumental in developing and refining AI-powered creative tools. You will focus on building and maintaining the design system infrastructure that supports these emerging AI capabilities. The position requires a strong understanding of design systems and hands‑on experience integrating AI into creative workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape where AI fits in creative production: find the manual steps worth removing, prototype the improvements against real design work, and bring back what is worth adopting.
• Run the testing loop on AI-assisted creative skills in development, debugging and refining each one until it clears the bar for production.
• Take Credit Karma's landing page system from design to build with development partners: documenting specs, QA and refinement along the way, and delivering production‑ready components structured for AI‑assisted skills to read and use.
• Build and maintain the Figma component and token architecture AI-assisted skills and agents read from, and support the migration into a larger shared design system.
• Build out the email template system already underway and extend the same AI‑ready standard to other marketing channels, as capacity allows.
• Partner with Design Leadership to prioritize across AI, landing page, and design system work within a fixed capacity.
• Document component usage and system conventions so the libraries remain usable and consistent as other designers and stakeholders build on top of them.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years in marketing or creative design systems, with deep hands‑on Figma expertise (variables, tokens, component properties, auto‑layout at scale) and strong practice of graphic design principles Hands‑on experience developing AI‑assisted creative skills, agents and workflows: building, testing, refining, and shipping.
• You treat skill development like product development.
• Actively tracking the AI creative tooling landscape, with a clear point of view on what is worth adopting and where it's heading.
• Proven track record building or significantly scaling a component library from early stage to production use.
• Strong organizational skills and comfort working independently against milestones with minimal day‑to‑day direction.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams (AI‑assisted skill development, landing page, systems migration) without letting foundational work slip.
• Strong portfolio showing both sides of this role: marketing or creative design systems you've built, and AI‑assisted creative skills or workflows you've developed.

Preferred Skills

• Measurable results from AI‑assisted creative work: skills you’ve developed, workflows you streamlined, steps you removed, or output quality you improved.
• Experience building or maintaining marketing email or landing page component systems.
• Experience with multi‑brand or multi‑team design systems, including migrating into or building alongside a larger shared system governed by another team.
• A collaborative, low‑ego approach to systems work: comfortable being the builder behind the scenes rather than leading creative direction.
