Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a senior UI/Visual designer to lead the visual design language and scalable design system across AI products and platform-level experiences. You will collaborate with UX, Motion, and Engineering teams to ensure cohesive visual strategy and motion behavior from concept to production.

The role emphasizes building or expanding design systems, typography, color systems, and components, while delivering high-fidelity interfaces for complex ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in UI design, visual design, or user experience design.
• Strong aesthetic judgment and visual craft with a portfolio of consumer-facing products.
• Experience in building or scaling design systems, including tokens, components, and documentation.
• System-level thinking with the ability to push visual standards from design concepts to production.

Preferred Qualification(s)

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
• Experience with mobile OS products, AI interfaces, or complex digital ecosystems.
• Experience working on high-quality, design-led products or complex platform-level experiences.
