Job summary

ByteDance's internal innovative business team seeks a Motion Designer to shape the dynamic design language for our AI-driven ecosystem. You will define motion principles, transitions, and feedback that make AI products feel alive.

Collaborating with UX, UI, and Engineering, you will craft motion solutions for AI assistants and multimodal experiences, lead explorations, and help set live product experiences into motion.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in motion design, interaction animation, or related fields.
• Exceptional sense of rhythm, timing, and physics-based motion with ability to explain rationale behind motion designs.
• Proficiency in motion tools such as After Effects, Figma, ProtoPie, Rive, Lottie, or Blender.
• Ability to work with engineers to define motion parameters and performance boundaries.

Preferred Qualification(s)

• Degree in Animation, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Experience in mobile OS motion, AI product feedback systems, or real-time graphics.
• Strong prototyping skills to quickly validate dynamic experiences.
