Job summary

Alder & Ash Interiors is seeking a Visual Content Producer (Photography + Videography) to tell the story of our interior projects in the Washington, DC area. This is a part-time, in-person role with on-location shoots.

You'll create architectural/interior photography, residential listing imagery, and real estate video content, while developing a consistent visual language across brands. Training and mentorship are provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute photography and video shoots in homes throughout the DMV.
• Photograph completed Alder & Ash staging and interior design projects.
• Capture listing photography and property marketing assets.
• Shoot both horizontal and vertical video depending on the project.
• Edit and color-correct photography.
• Edit short-form and longer-form video content.
• Select strong images and footage from shoots.
• Maintain an organized library of photo and video assets.
• Work closely with our founders and creative team to develop visual concepts.
• Capture candid behind-the-scenes moments without needing every shot to be scripted in advance.
• Learn and help maintain a consistent visual language across our brands.
• Experiment with new ways of showing our work through photography and film.

Visual Content Producer (Photography + Videography)

Part-Time | Washington, DC / DMV | In-Person + On Location

Alder & Ash Interiors is looking for a Visual Content Producer with a strong foundation in photography and videography to help us tell the story of our work, our spaces, and the people behind them.

This is not a social media manager position.

At its core, this is a photographer and videographer role for someone who loves beautiful spaces, thoughtful composition, and visual storytelling. You’ll photograph finished interiors and residential listings, create property and brand video, document projects as they come together, and capture the smaller moments that show what happens behind the scenes.

We’re looking for someone with a great eye who is still excited to grow. You do not need to arrive knowing every piece of equipment or every part of our workflow. We can provide equipment, training, and mentorship. What we do need is a solid creative foundation, an understanding of photography and video, and the instinct to recognize a great shot when you see one.

What You’ll Create

Your work will primarily support Alder & Ash Interiors, with opportunities to create content for the other brands within Mo & Co Group.

You’ll help create:

• Architectural and interior photography of professionally staged homes
• Residential listing photography
• Property walkthrough and cinematic real estate video
• Vertical short-form video for Instagram, Reels, and other digital platforms
• Behind-the-scenes photography and video during staging installations, design work, warehouse days, shoots, and other projects
• Brand and lifestyle photography
• Team, founder, and personality-driven content
• 3D tours and other property marketing assets
• Detail shots, vignettes, design moments, and editorial-style imagery
• Content that documents the process of taking a space from empty or unfinished to presentation-ready

This role goes beyond simply documenting a finished room. We want someone who can see the story happening around them and capture it.

Who We’re Looking For

You might be early in your creative career, recently out of a photography or film program, freelancing and looking for something more consistent, or simply looking for a place where you can build a body of work while being part of a growing creative company.

We care more about your eye, instincts, portfolio, and potential than the number of years you’ve been doing this.

You should have:

• Foundational photography experience
• Foundational videography experience

Experience with architectural or real estate photography is helpful, but it is not required.

Experience with Matterport is also helpful, but we can teach it.

What This Role Is Not

This is not a traditional social media manager position.

You will create content that may ultimately appear on social media, but you will not be responsible for building content calendars, writing captions all day, managing community engagement, chasing trends, or acting as an influencer.

We are looking for the person behind the camera.

Someone who notices the light coming through a window, the way a room changes as an installation comes together, the interaction happening between two team members, or the five-second moment everyone else missed.

Alder & Ash Interiors is a Washington, DC-area home staging and interior design company built around the idea that a space should tell a story.

Our work combines thoughtful interior design with residential real estate marketing. We stage homes throughout the DMV, create spaces designed to connect with buyers, and work closely with real estate professionals and homeowners to present properties at their best.

We are a growing, hands-on creative company. This role will work closely with our founders and design team rather than sitting inside a traditional marketing department.

You will have the opportunity to help shape what our visual identity looks like as we grow.

The Details

Position: Visual Content Producer (Photography + Videography)

Type: Part-Time

Location: Washington, DC / DMV

Work Style: In-person and on location

Schedule: Project-driven and flexible based on our staging, photography, and production calendar

Compensation: $25–$28 per hour, based on experience

Because our projects happen in real homes and on active job sites, this is not a remote content position. Your schedule will vary based on shoots and project activity.
