Job summary

Dairyland Power Cooperative is seeking a skilled Photographer/Videographer to capture portraits, events, and product imagery. You will manage planning, shooting, editing, captioning, and file organization, contributing to the intranet and website.

As AV lead, you will plan and execute technical support for meetings (in-person, hybrid, virtual) using Microsoft Teams, with strong knowledge of equipment. A two-year degree and 3+ years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with SLR digital camera and basic videography/editing software.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications for print and digital output.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 applications including PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.

Responsibilities

  • Photographer duties from planning to final delivery, including scheduling, shooting, editing and file management.
  • Videographer duties for events, trainings and projects; create visuals for campaigns and meetings.
  • Provide AV tech support for in-person, hybrid and virtual meetings using Teams; manage equipment.

Hiring Salary Range: $24.71 - $34.62 Compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications. Purpose

This role will provide visual communication support including photography, videography and presentation visuals. Also, provide audiovisual support for Dairyland meeting and events.

Essential Job Functions
  • Photographer: Includes portraiture, location, event and product photography. Photography is from planning through final delivery, including scheduling, shooting, editing, captioning and file management. Coordinate enlargements and framing upon request. Contribute photos to Dairyland’s intranet and website.
  • Videographer: Shoot and edit video for Dairyland events, training sessions, construction or maintenance projects, etc. At direction of the organization and leadership, conceive, strategize and execute video and photography to support Communications campaigns, social media, website content and special projects. Develop PowerPoint templates reinforcing Dairyland’s brand and serve as an in-house presentation resource. Work in partnership with writers to create PowerPoint visuals for Annual Meeting and other key executive presentations as requested.
  • Plan and provide A.V. technical support for in-person, hybrid and virtual meetings using Microsoft Teams at major cooperative meetings, both internal and external. This includes setup, test, operate and teardown of A.V. equipment and attendance during these meetings. Must have a strong knowledge of all types of audio visual equipment (laptops/tablets, projectors, flat screens, microphones, speakers, mixers, cameras, lighting systems etc.) Serve as a technical and subject matter expert for A.V. technology in Dairyland’s boardroom and conference rooms. Provide on-site technical support for Board of Directors meetings, leadership meetings, employee meetings, and cooperative events. Work closely with internal staff including IT contacts, Executive Assistants and the Corporate Governance and Board Affairs Manager. Work with outside photography and videography contractors, event support professionals and event facility staff and managers when necessary. Spec and purchase photography, video and other A.V. equipment for Dairyland and member cooperatives upon request. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and coordinate equipment repair or replacement. Manage a small inventory of loaner A.V. equipment. Responsible for maintaining digital photography and video files and assisting others with finding photos/videos when needed. Maintain Dairyland’s visual identity and apply brand standards consistently across print, digital and audiovisual communications. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: Minimum of two-year Associate Degree in audiovisual technology, visual communications, graphic design, digital medial, communications or a related field. Three (3) years of relevant experience with an Associate Degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proficiency using a SLR digital camera Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro or comparable software. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams. Knowledge of digital photography principles (formats, resolution, composition, etc.). Must also be proficient using digital video camera, and simple video editing software (Moviemaker or similar.) Must have knowledge of audiovisual equipment operation and maintenance. Must have excellent written/verbal communications and proofreading skills.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands

The employee frequently is required to stand/sit; walk; use hands/fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift and carry A-V equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Photography and videography projects may require working in challenging conditions. Some outdoor work in all types of weather. Some exposure to electrical hazards and, in the plants, occasional exposure to dust. Other Job Characteristics: Ability to maintain confidentiality. Requires technical proficiency in all aspects of audiovisual and video production and presentation. Must become familiar with the principles of electrical generation, transmission and distribution. May be necessary to work after normal business hours. Must be able to set priorities and meet deadlines. Must be able to physically handle and set up audiovisual recording and projection equipment. Team oriented position having variable tasks, often at a fast pace. Must be able to work with only moderate supervision.
