The Student Assistant will support the drawing studio and ceramics studio, ensuring spaces are clean and organized for classes and exhibits. Responsibilities include cleaning studios, reclaiming clay, mixing glazes, and helping with murals or posters.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at Gordon State College in a minimum of six (6) credit hours.
• Must be Federal Work Study eligible.

Responsibilities

• Keep drawing studio (Fine Arts 206) clean, including wiping down drawing tables, sweeping, putting away still life set-ups and some modeling.
• Maintain the ceramics studio, including wiping tables and putting the tools away.
• Vacuum and mop studio.
• Reclaim and process clay, mix glazes, load and unload kilns.
• Frame and unframe work for art shows and changing artwork in display cases.
• Help with other jobs that come up during the semester to include proposed murals, banners or posters.
