Job summary

Lane Community College seeks part-time Visual Arts instructors for the Eugene campus. This posting covers an instructor pool for 2026-2027 with classes assigned by the Division Dean based on need and enrollment.

Required qualifications include MFA/MA in relevant art fields and a Master’s degree in Art History or related area, plus one year of college-level teaching. Applicants must reside in Oregon and complete a criminal background check.

Qualifications

• Master of Fine Arts (MFA) or Master of Arts (MA) in Studio Art, Digital Art, or Art and Technology with at least 30 quarter hours (20 semester hours) of graduate coursework in foundational two- or three-dimensional art.
• Master's degree in Art History or related field with graduate credits in Art History from a regionally accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Support student learning through activities that align with division and college procedures.
• Deliver high-quality classroom instruction and develop course materials; teach in traditional and online formats.
• Confer with students on course materials and provide timely feedback on assignments.
• Promote equity and inclusion in curricula and classroom practices.
