Position Summary

The Visitors Center Greeter is the first face of Visit French Lick West Baden, welcoming guests with warmth, professionalism, and a deep knowledge of our region. This is a public-facing, concierge-style role focused on helping visitors and groups make the most of their time in the area by providing personalized recommendations, directions, and connections to local attractions, hotels, restaurants, and events.

This is an hourly position starting at $15–$18/hour, ideal for someone passionate about hospitality and community pride. For the right candidate, this role offers a clear pathway to grow into a salaried Visitors and Groups Experience Manager , with expanded responsibilities in operations, retail, group experiences, events, and marketing support.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Engagement & Hospitality

• Greet all guests with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Provide tailored recommendations for accommodations, attractions, dining, and events
• Answer phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries from visitors
• Direct questions or service needs to the appropriate CVB team member or community partner
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Visitors Center space
• Keep daily records of visitor interactions, call logs, and guest feedback

Supportive Operations & Outreach (as assigned)

• Restock brochures and printed materials
• Assist with retail displays and merchandise sales
• Represent the Visitors Center at local community events or pop-up booths
• Help prepare the space for exhibitions, including a 2026 Smithsonian traveling exhibit

Digital & Brand Support

• Assist the Brand Strategy Manager with social media content and scheduling
• Update website event listings and partner business information as assigned
• Monitor and respond to guest comments or messages on social media platforms

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing, and confident communicator
• 1+ years of customer service, front desk, hospitality, or tourism experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Familiarity with the French Lick West Baden area and surrounding region is a plus
• Comfort with basic technology and social media platforms
• Availability for weekend and occasional evening work
• Hourly pay: $15–$18/hour, based on experience
• Full-time position with potential for advancement to a salaried Manager role
