The Minnesota Children's Museum is hiring a Security Guard to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities include monitoring activities, managing crowd control, and assisting visitors. Ideal candidates should have customer service experience and the ability to handle emergency situations calmly.

The Security Guard is responsible for assuring Minnesota Children’s Museum provides a safe and secure environment for all guests and staff while delivering excellent customer service to guests in the galleries and public spaces.
Security Guards at the museum do not possess weapons of any kind and are trained and expected to utilize de-escalation skills when navigating potentially unsafe scenarios, including interacting with individuals who may be under the influence or experiencing mental illness.
As a Security guard, you will be part of the Visitor Services frontline team and will be cross trained to understand other roles and responsibilities to provide support. This is an environment with children; guards must be able to redirect children using different tactics. You will be instilled with a sense of purpose, responsibility and teamwork as you will be part of executing our mission.
PAY: $16.25/hour

The Security Guard is responsible for a variety of safety-related objectives but is still expected to always provide customer service by working with Visitor Services staff to assist visitors in public areas. The following are just an example of some common day-to-day tasks:
