Job summary

Miami University in Oxford, Ohio invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor in Educational Psychology. The position begins January 2027 and requires teaching undergraduate and graduate courses within the Undergraduate Inclusive Education (IEP) and Graduate Special Education (GSEP) Programs.

Responsibilities include teaching courses, supporting licensure and endorsement pathways, and contributing to online and on-campus instruction.

Qualifications

• Earned doctoral degree by date of appointment in Special Education or closely related field.
• For Instructor: Master's degree in Special Education or closely related field with a minimum of 5 years PK-12 teaching experience.
• Evidence of expertise in both general and special education; higher education teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Educational Psychology, incl. IE and GSEP programs.
• Contribute to licensure and endorsement pathways (PK-5 General Education, K-12 Mild/Moderate, K-12 Moderate/Intensive, TESOL).
• Prepare courses for on-campus instruction and online offerings; participate in program development.
