Job summary

The University of New Hampshire in Durham invites applicants for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Biomedical Sciences (MCBS) within COLSA. This position is 70% teaching and 30% research and service.

The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and graduate instruction in biology-related fields, participate in student advising and departmental activities, and develop scholarly work with opportunities for internal and external

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or terminal degree in biomedical sciences by start date.
• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise for teaching MCBS courses.
• Demonstrated research or scholarly experience in the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Teach four courses per academic year in MCBS-related topics.
• Develop and deliver lectures, labs, materials, assessments, and other instructional activities.
• Contribute to existing courses or revise courses as needed.
• Provide effective feedback to students.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate students.
• Conduct independent and/or collaborative research.
• Pursue external funding opportunities where appropriate.
• Participate in department seminars, committees, and outreach.
