University of New Hampshire in Durham seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor to contribute to undergraduate and graduate instruction in biomedical sciences. The position is 70% teaching and 30% research/service, with four courses per academic year and opportunities for scholarly activity.

The role includes advising students, collaborating with faculty, and pursuing internal and external research funding. Start date is negotiable, employment is non-tenure-track and renewable up to three years.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree by the anticipated start date.
• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise appropriate for teaching MCBS curriculum.
• Demonstrated research or scholarly experience appropriate to the discipline.

Responsabilités

• Teach four courses per academic year across undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Develop and deliver lectures, laboratory instruction, course materials, assessments, and other instructional activities.
• Contribute to existing courses and develop or revise courses to address departmental needs.
• Provide effective and timely assessment and feedback to students.
• Participate in activities that support student learning, retention, and academic success.
• Collaborate with other faculty to maintain consistency and quality across the MCBS curriculum.
• Maintain scholarly engagement and contribute service to the Department, College and University.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate students engaged in research; pursue funding opportunities.
