Job summary

Rutgers University’s RBHS seeks a Visiting Researcher in the Child Health Institute to conduct molecular cloning, cell culture, confocal imaging, and data analysis. The role includes training in experimental design and presentation, with resources provided for career development by the PI.

The candidate will work under the Principal Investigator, contributing to mammalian cell culture experiments, maintaining lab equipment, and assisting in manuscripts and grants while mentoring students.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate; bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Background in biology/biomedicine; must have written and published scientific articles.
• Prior experience with biomedical research.

Responsibilities

• Design, perform, and analyze experiments focused on mammalian cell culture and related techniques.
• Maintain and operate laboratory instrumentation (centrifuges, electrophoresis, confocal microscopes).
• Coordinate experimental approaches and methodologies in CNM research; select research methods.
• Follow current literature and assist in manuscript and grant preparation.
• Assist in training students in laboratory techniques.
