Job summary

University of the Pacific seeks an MSW-credentialed social worker with at least two years of post-MS W experience to contribute to healthcare social work education and practice. The role emphasizes health policy advocacy, clinical interventions in health settings, and research/evaluation in healthcare contexts.

Strong emphasis on trauma-informed practice, diabetes care, aging in health, and interprofessional education for master’s level clinicians.

Qualifications

• MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program.
• At least two (2) years of post-MS W practice experience.
• Content expertise in master’s generalist courses and/or specialty content areas related to healthcare social work, including Health and social welfare policy/advocacy.
• Social, behavioral, psychological interventions for patients/clients in health settings.
• Research and evaluation for healthcare, including community based approaches.
• Health social work in inpatient and hospital settings; medical social work specialties.
• Mental health diagnosis and intervention in healthcare.
• Diabetes care and management.
• Social work in health and aging.
• Trauma-informed practice.
• Substance abuse assessment and treatment in healthcare settings.
