Middlebury College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Premodern Art History to teach for two academic years beginning in the fall semester of 2027.

The candidate will teach introductory courses, offer lectures and seminars in their areas of expertise, and participate in undergraduate mentoring. Applicants with specialties in premodern architectural history, Asia, and/or the Global South are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or ABD in Art or Architectural History. College level teaching experience.
