Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Art History or a related field must be in hand by the time of appointment; may be hired as Instructor if not yet completed, but must be by within one year of hire.
• Demonstrated potential for scholarly research and publication in art history, including work on pre‑modern Islamic art before 1800.
• Experience teaching at the university level and commitment to inclusive teaching and mentoring of students.

Responsibilities

• Teach a 2/2 on-campus load in Art History.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate students and contribute to student evaluations and outcomes.
• Develop and carry out an active research program with a strong publication record.
• Participate in faculty governance and service at department and university levels.
