Job description

Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, is seeking applications for a two-year visiting position in Italian at the Assistant Professor level, beginning July 1, 2022. Applicants should have completed their PhD by the time of appointment. The successful applicant will have a demonstrable record of teaching excellence, especially in language courses, with training in pedagogy. Native or near-native fluency in Italian is required.

A complete application will consist of 1) a cover letter discussing the applicant’s research interests and teaching experience, including methods for incorporating issues related to diversity, inclusion, and equity in the classroom; 2) a curriculum vitae; 3) the names and contact information for three recommenders; 4) an unofficial transcript; and 5) a syllabus from a recent language course.
